Works with any ERP and hardware

In an industry-first, POS Evo integrates seamlessly with any ERP system, allowing wholesalers to unlock its benefits without undertaking a major IT project.

The software adapts to virtually any hardware configuration – from traditional poles and plinths to desks or kiosks (subject to minimum specifications). This flexibility enables depots to reclaim valuable floor space, add more aisles and create a modern, customer-friendly environment.

Operators consistently praise POS Evo’s colour touchscreen interface. 

It’s quick and intuitive, requiring minimal training. What’s more, product images appear as items are scanned to help reduce mistakes, while built-in promotion alerts encourage impulse purchases and buying bumps.

Fast, fuss-free checkout with central cash

POS Evo keeps queues moving by removing invoice printing from the checkout entirely.

Transactions from all departments – groceries, tobacco, wines and spirits – are automatically consolidated against a single customer account in the cloud. Customers then complete payment at Central Cash, where an invoice can still be printed if required, without slowing down tills or blocking aisles.

Queue buster for busy trading periods

To further speed up checkout during peak times, POS Evo includes Queue Buster functionality via the STL Android app on handheld devices.

Staff can begin scanning customers’ trolleys while they queue. A QR code is generated and scanned at the till, instantly creating the invoice ready for payment at Central Cash – dramatically reducing waiting times and improving customer flow.

Email receipts and transaction records

Receipts are automatically emailed to customers, providing a convenient digital record of purchases while reducing printing costs.

Transaction data can also be emailed in CSV format directly to wholesalers’ own-label stores, ready for upload into their systems with no rekeying. Because POS Evo runs in the cloud, customers can shop at any depot using one centralised account – simplifying account management and strengthening loyalty.

POS Evo is engineered to reduce both capital and operating costs.

With invoicing handled at Central Cash, there’s no need for expensive peripherals at each till, such as keyboards and large printers. Email receipts further cut paper, ink and power usage. Minimal training requirements and real-time software updates also help reduce ongoing support demands.

Resilient by design

Even if network connectivity fails, POS Evo keeps trading.

Transactions are scanned, processed and stored locally at the POS, with receipts printed from an internal backup thermal printer. Once connectivity is restored, sales data is automatically synchronised with core systems – with no manual re-entry required.
